Der Abriss des Südbahnhofs
Der Südbahnhof lag im 10. Bezirk Wiens („Favoriten“) und war bis Ende 2009 der größte Bahnhof Österreichs. Danach wurde er abgerissen, um dem neuen Hauptbahnhof, dem ersten Hauptbahnhof überhaupt in der langen Wiener Geschichte, Platz zu machen.
Hier ist ein kurzer Blick auf das ehemalige Parkhaus dieses Bahnhofs während der Abrissphase.
The Demolition of the Vienna Südbahnhof
The „Southern Railway Station“ was situated in the 10th district of Vienna. It was the largest railway Station in Austria till the end of 2009. Then it was teared off to get space for the new „Hauptbahnhof“ („Central Railway Station“) of Vienna, which is the first central railway Station in the history of Vienna.
